Our Balloon Rides take off from this very unique launch site that has a staggering 18,000 specimen trees and shrubs set in 600 acres of landscaped gardens.

Westonbirt Arboretum was founded in 1829 by Robert Halford, a wealthy landowner who began planting trees for his own interest and pleasure. The estate passed in 1956 to the Forestry Commission who now continues to manage it today.

Famous for its autumn colours, flights are available from the beautiful Westonbirt throughout our main flying season (April - October).

In spring you can see Westonbirt's magnificent Rhododendrons, Azaleas, Magnolias and the wild flowers of Silk Wood.
